Medical consumables & laboratory supplies | Focus on the EU & third countries

For over 76 years, we have been distributing consumables for hospitals, laboratories, and numerous medical departments—in particular, products for microbiology, gynecology, and general laboratory needs. As a global wholesaler with our own production facilities, we combine tradition with innovative strength.

Our family-run company based in Hamburg today supplies customers in over 110 countries and is the owner of numerous patents and trademarks.

Due to our continued and sustainable growth, we are looking for a committed individual to join our team as soon as possible or by agreement as International Sales Manager (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Responsibility for the international distribution of our products – with a focus on Europe and selected third countries.
  • Strategic development of existing foreign markets and tapping into new target markets and sales potential.
  • Acquisition of new distributors, trading partners, and institutional clients, as well as ongoing support and development of existing business relationships.
  • Independent price negotiations, preparation of offers, and support throughout the entire sales process until completion.
  • Analysis of international markets, competitors, regulatory requirements, and trends in the field of medtech/laboratory supplies, and derivation of targeted measures to increase sales.
  • Responsibility for presenting and listing our (new) products in the portfolio of importers/distributors
  • Creation of annual sales plans for the responsible regions and implementation in close cooperation with marketing, product management, and internal sales.
  • Participation in international trade fairs and events organized by our distribution partners.
  • Regular travel to target markets for personal customer service, market development, and business development.
  • Direct reporting to management and close cooperation with other departments.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed business or technical degree or comparable commercial training with relevant professional experience.
  • Several years of experience in international sales in the field of medical devices, laboratory supplies, or comparable products requiring explanation is essential.
  • Experience in managing and supervising distributors and key accounts in an international environment.
  • Strong communicator, skilled negotiator and deal closer with a keen sense for international customer needs.
  • Very good written and spoken English skills; other languages (e.g., French or Spanish) are an advantage.
  • Structured, goal-oriented, and independent way of working—while also enjoying cross-team collaboration.
  • Good understanding of international market mechanisms, pricing structures, and cultures.
  • Ideally, experience in dealing with regulatory requirements (e.g., MDR, IVDR, ISO 13485).
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP/CRM systems and common Office programs.
  • A high degree of initiative, willingness to travel, and intercultural competence.
  • Confident manner when dealing with decision-makers—from purchasing to management—understanding of an advisory partner on equal terms.
